Watch as Roma star Paulo Dybala thanks VAR for his first Europa League goal of the season, as the officials got the offside call wrong against Brighton and Hove Albion.
La Joya had found the net 12 times in Serie A this term and once in the Coppa Italia, along with seven assists, but was yet to contribute to a goal in the Europa League.
That changed when Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton came to the Stadio Olimpico for the Round of 16 and a long Leandro Paredes ball surprised defenders to send Dybala clear.
Initially, the referee had raised the flag for offside, but fortunately VAR was there to correct the error.
