Manchester City appear to have found their replacement for Riyad Mahrez.

Belgium winger Jeremy Doku is set to join City imminently from French side Rennes.

According to BBC Sport, the 21-year-old will cost the Premier League champions a transfer package worth £54.4 million.

But who is Jeremy Doku?

Who Is Jeremy Doku?

Doku is a fast and skillful winger who loves dribbling with the ball.

Since the start of last season, he has averaged 6.8 dribbles per game in Ligue 1 - more than any other player in any of Europe's top five leagues.

On average, he carries the ball 356 meters per 90 minutes.

As well as being a remarkable dribbler, Doku has a keen eye for goal.

He is right-footed but can play on either wing, or even as a central striker.

Doku began his senior career with Anderlecht before joining Rennes for a fee in the region of £23m in October 2020.

He has been capped 16 times by Belgium, scoring twice.

Thierry Henry worked with Doku during his time as Belgium's assistant manager.

Henry told Amazon Prime earlier this year: "When you're one on one with him, there's only one thing left to do - pray."

Doku scored six goals and provided two assists in 29 Ligue 1 appearances last season.

He only started in 13 of those 29 league games though, while he missed nine completely due to various injury issues.

Indeed, Doku's injury record is a little concerning.

He has had eight separate spells on the sidelines in the last two full seasons, missing 50 games for club and country during that period.

Doku's last reported injury issue was a pulled hamstring that he recovered from in March.

This was his third hamstring complaint in just over 18 months.
